Our dining room was one of the first spots I designed in our house. Partly because I had a vision for it from the moment I walked in, and partly because I found super cheap furniture on Facebook Marketplace I could DIY into what I wanted! Work with what ya got friends…keep scrolling for a before & after of this room…it’s a good one!

Let me just tell you…I got this dining table for $25 on Facebook Marketplace…it came with six chairs I didn’t want, that I turned around and resold for $20. So all in all I paid $5 for my dining table. The Chippendale chairs were originally a chocolate brown. I got all four for $75, also on FB Marketplace. These chairs originally go for around $300-$900 EACH. Such a steal. 

I knew I wanted some dining themed art somewhere, but I wanted to avoid anything that felt cheesy or overdone. So i opted for this cutlery Etsy print in one frame and this piece that says “As for me and my house, we will serve tacos. – Salsa 24:7” I just designed myself. I saw the quote while I was searching for the right second print, but couldn’t find it in a font that fit the style of the room, so I created it in Photoshop and had both pieces printed at Fedex on high quality cardstock.
